Please ensure you complete all sections of the application form as incomplete applications will not be short listed.
Successful candidates will need to satisfactorily complete:

a competency-based interview
a driving assessment
a pre-employment medical (including a drug and alcohol test)

TRAINING
Full training is provided to enable you to gain your PCV licence, if you don’t already hold it. Training takes place in-house and normally lasts around four weeks.
Once you have gained your PCV licence, or if you already held it when you joined us, you will spend time in the classroom to achieve your BTEC qualification, before being shown all the routes and different buses we operate at your garage.

You will be contracted to work a 5 day shift, 38 hour week, but the length of your duties will vary and you may work fewer hours (but still paid 38 hours) or more hours (for which you are paid). Both garages operate various shifts, from a 4am start to a 2am finish. You must be able to work all shifts on any day.
OVERTIME
Overtime and ‘work rest days’ (working one of your rest days) are common, but not guaranteed so should not be relied upon. They are also optional.

After three month’s service, you can also obtain a pass for a nominee at your home address - The issue of staff and nominee travel passes is at the discretion of Transport for London (TfL) and does not create a contractual entitlement.
HOLIDAY
You will be entitled to 28 days a year (including Bank Holidays). This increases with your length of service.
